Taste thoughtfully. Create intentionally. Join Pottery Dream and Izumi Sake Brewery for a unique evening that brings together two timeless crafts: sake and pottery. The experience begins with a guided 40-minute sake tasting and introduction led by Izumi Sake Brewery. You'll learn about the history of sake, how it is brewed, tasting techniques, and the unique characteristics that make each sake distinct. Sample a curated selection while discovering the traditions and stories behind Japan's iconic beverage. After the tasting, settle into a 2-hour handbuilding pottery workshop where you'll create your own handmade sake set. Guided by our instructors, you'll learn fundamental handbuilding techniques to craft a combination of sake cups, pouring vessels, or small serving pieces designed for your future sake gatherings. ⸻ Your pottery pieces will be professionally glazed and kiln-fired by our studio and ready for pickup approximately 4 weeks after the workshop. ⸻ What you will experience : • 40-minute guided sake tasting with Izumi Sake Brewery • Introduction to sake history, brewing, and tasting notes • 2-hour handbuilding pottery workshop • Create your own handmade sake set ( 1 puring vessel and 2 sake cups ) • Glazing and kiln firing included • A relaxed, social evening celebrating craftsmanship and culture ⸻ A full creative journey from shaping clay to arranging flowers, designed to slow you down and connect you to the process of making.
